Overview

Scoracle ("we", "us", "our") is a football prediction app. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Data We Collect

Account Information

Phone number: Used for account creation and verification via SMS. We do not use your phone number for marketing or share it with other users.
Username: A display name you choose, visible to other members in your groups.

Prediction Data

Match predictions: The scores you predict for football matches.
Bonus predictions: Your tournament-level picks (group winners, semi-finalists, etc.).
Points and rankings: Calculated from your predictions, visible to members of your groups.

Group Data

Group membership: Which prediction groups you belong to.
Chat messages: Messages you send in group chats, visible to group members.

Device Information

Firebase Cloud Messaging token: Used solely to send you push notifications (match deadline reminders and results). We do not collect device identifiers for tracking or advertising.

Usage Data

No analytics or tracking: We do not use any analytics SDKs, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics services. We do not track your behavior within the app.

Third-Party Services

Twilio

We use Twilio to send SMS verification codes during sign-up. Twilio receives your phone number for this purpose only. See Twilio's Privacy Policy.

Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google)

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications. Google receives your device's FCM token. We do not use Firebase Analytics or any other Firebase services. See Google's Privacy Policy.

API-Football

We use API-Football to retrieve match fixtures, scores, and team data. No user data is sent to API-Football.

Data Storage

Your data is stored on servers in Europe (Scaleway, Paris region).
Data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit).
Passwords are not stored -- we use phone-based SMS verification.
JWT tokens are stored locally on your device for session management.

Data Retention

Your account and prediction data are retained as long as your account is active.
Chat messages are retained as long as the group exists.
Deleted groups have their chat messages permanently removed.
We do not retain SMS verification codes after they expire (10 minutes).

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your data is only shared:

With other members of your groups (username, predictions, chat messages, leaderboard rankings)
With Twilio for SMS delivery (phone number only)
With Google for push notification delivery (FCM token only)
If required by law

Your Rights

You can:

View your data: Your profile screen shows your account information and statistics.
Delete your account: Contact us at privacy@scoracle.co or visit our Account Deletion page. We will delete your account and associated personal data within 30 days.
Leave groups: You can leave any group at any time, which removes your visibility from that group's leaderboard.

Children

Scoracle is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
